The story of White’s Hudson River Marina began with John and Eleanor White, whose love for boating and dedication to serving fellow boaters laid the foundation for a family business that has stood the test of time.

Before opening the marina in New Hamburg, John and Eleanor owned and operated White’s Marine Sales in Poughkeepsie. In 1959, they established White’s Hudson River Marina along the banks of the Hudson River with a simple vision: provide honest service, quality workmanship, and a welcoming place where boaters could feel like family.

Over the decades, that vision has remained unchanged. What started as a small family operation has grown into one of the Hudson Valley’s most trusted full-service marinas, serving generations of boating families with seasonal dockage, marine repairs, winter storage, fueling, and certified Mercury service. Many of today’s customers are the children and grandchildren of the boaters John and Eleanor first welcomed more than six decades ago.

Today, the White family proudly continues their legacy. Don White, Christopher White, and Anita White-Reiners remain committed to the same values that John and Eleanor built the business on—integrity, hard work, and treating every customer with the personal attention that only a family-owned marina can provide.

More than 65 years later, White’s Hudson River Marina is still more than a place to dock a boat. It’s a place where traditions continue, memories are made, and generations of families gather to enjoy life on the Hudson River.
